In the early hours of February 24, Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine . Since then, the war has ruptured the
whole country, plunging its people into a sudden state of shock and resistance.
I have spent two months
in Ukraine, capturing the strikes against civilians, their desperate evacuation west and
the humanitarian convoys rushing east. When the Russian troops were pushed back, I have followed the
people heading back home, where they found their towns destroyed and loved ones hiding in basements, having endured
tortures and witnessed killings
